this isnt an overheating issue.. theres a communication issue i believe.. i have helped resolve a few issues hes had over the years and this one is the best yet.
im gonna check out everything he has and see if he can be upgraded on some things... this is a sweet comp that can be taken to another level here in the coming weeks.

thanks mikey for the help.. this was one of my suggestions to him recently and after some trial and error it didnt help. tried the reformat as a last ditch effort and it didnt work... so alas we got o the next more expensive attempt...

I have an Mid '06 Alienware Area 51 desktop...
It is a pre Dell takeover pc...
Tox has all my specs....
Too many to list...
If it was an overheating issue and a simple fan issue...
I wouldn't be out for any time at all...
But thanks for the suggestion...
Keep those ideas rolling on in...

The only reason it would freeze up would be a overheating issue that's what happened to mine so i switch out the fan. Even if the fan is running the Chip may still be getting hot.

Well it"s official...
I'm going to have to fork out another large sum of money for a new vid card...
After reformatting on the partition to no avail then again reformatting the entire HD...
The card locks up while gaming... even on Battlefield 2...
I might try loading TFD just for shits and giggles...
If it won't run that then I'm out of gaming till at least christmas...
Which really sucks!!!
My PC will be a 75 lbs. 3,000 dollar paperweight...
